god I used to have a bootleg game system with at least half of the games shown in this video and I can't understand how I actually enjoyed playing these a lot of years ago
also the controller on that system was almost the same as this one, the d-pad and the buttons are literally the same, but the reset button was replaced with the select button (which is shocking) and the power switch was at the top

The interesting thing about the first game (Fish Catcher) is that it’s actually a direct rip off of a bonus mini game from an NES game called Panic Restaurant, with the same sprites and everything.

14:36 The 'mystery units' are almost certainly intended to be meters. The rate it's counting down lines up pretty closely with the speedometer in km/h.

22:38 ...yes, I actually do remember that game. My aunt had one. It was a little wooden board inside a box, and you could change the incline of the board via mechanical knobs on the outside. It was actually pretty engaging to younger me. Game version looks awful.
