can't really defend mel when he's the entire reason they're in the situation that they're in

Mel Morris actually sounded like Jim Broadbent who played the derby chairman in "The Damned united"...😂😂

I expected to feel some joy (as a Leeds fan) at derby being relegated, after the spygate saga, but I don't. I remember what it's like to go through administration and relegations and I empathise with the derby fans. Historic big club, hope Rooney bounced them back up to the championship. Looking back, league one was a lot of fun and have some great memories of the phoenix rising again. Good luck derby. 👊

Simon is always sticking up for the owners. He defends the Glazers at MU FFS!

No surprise that one ex owner who risked his clubs existence for glory defends another one. Yes you're owners of a football club but you're also custodians of that club and have a duty of care to look after these football clubs.

Nothing he says is unfair. Mel did try and personally finance a run to the premiership. It went wrong and then he tried to get us out of it by clever accounting. That went wrong too. He should have sold the club very cheaply and taken the hit but you can't spend another man's money for him. He tried to be a hero and ended up a villain. Not really fair IMHO.

Ever since that 2nd leg play off win at Leeds, the two clubs have gone in completely separate directions. It's as if Derby were cursed by winning that single game. Like pure karma. LMFAO!

Long road back for the Rams . Can’t help harbouring a few suspicions as regards the pref bidder when he refers to his “crypto “ assets, talk already of paying non football creditors a reduced amount could mean a points deduction next season . Just doesn’t feel right . I am not sure the administrator has gone with the right option.

Wayne has done a good job especially under the exacting circumstances and by creating a siege mentality among the playing squad (and supporters).

Wayne should continue to learn his trade for a couple of seasons at least before eventually managing his hometown club, Liverpool with someone like Moyes.

There is actually a solution that would help Derby, but it would involve Mel paying HMRC bill and then selling the club without that element of debt and take a proportion of the upside down track when the club is in a better position.

Maybe we should consider taxing Premier League clubs to support teams lower down the pyramid so that they don’t have to resort to tactics like Morris did?

Yep, 80 points not even likely to get you a playoff spot this season!
