My first MMO was Ragnarok Online, the reason why I palyed it because of the community and the Guild wars. I made a lot of friends and meet people because of it, specially that Guild War where in you get to clash with other Guilds in one Castle is cool. Up until now it is still the best MMO I have ever played.

Man that blue protocol feels like this biggest MMO tease in a long time. Just edging us with very fine tuned information every couple of months or weeks

I played vanilla WoW because my older brother was playing it and it looked amazing. All I did was kill murlocs in one of the Night Elf starting areas because they sometimes dropped green items, which was the most exciting thing to me. I had no concept about how inconsequential the early levels were, haha, but that started a life-long obsession with MMORPGs and loot.

my first mmo was perfect world, I didn't even know it was an mmo, I remember watching a video on youtube and it struck me how good it looked, so I downloaded it without even knowing if it was going to work for me because I didn't even have one dedicated video card but surprisingly it worked and I remember being surprised how well the water looked, the reflections in it and the sky not counting that it took a couple of days to realize that the other characters were people like me haha and that was because someone came to help me. very good memories

My first MMO was Ultima Online, and honestly I didn't know it existed until I was shopping at a gamestop and overheard customers talking about it, and at the time what caught my attention about it was their discussion about crafting and repairing other players gear, and setting up their own shops to sell crafted and gathered gear and items. Before then I didn't even play anything at all multiplayer.

Hey, MMOByte! Long time viewer and lurker here. I always appreciate how informative and helpful your videos are in keeping us viewers up to date. Thank you and keep up the great content!

My first MMORPG was Grand Fantasia. I liked the anime aesthetic, and it was fun while it lasted. I enjoyed how simplistic and straightforward the game was so it was not overwhelming for a first-timer into the MMO genre. But right now, the MMORPGs I have my eyes on are Blue Protocol, Lost Ark Online, and Swords of Legends Online. They look really interesting!

Runescape was my first mmo. Lots of people played in my middle school. Good times.

My first MMO was RuneScape. I had dial up internet at home, but my grandparents had DSL. I'd spend the whole weekend on my Grandma's laptop exploring the world. Eventually, we got DSL at home and I played non-stop. The reason I played it was the friendships I made, one of which I'm still in contact with to this day almost 17 years later.

Of course, the sheer amount of content and how much was continuously added definitely kept me engaged as well. I eventually moved on to WoW and a few other games, but the thousands of hours spent in Gielinor will always be a fond memory.

My first mmo was ragnarok online. It was the very first mmo available in the Philippines when I was still 12 yrs old and when I still lived there.

My first MMO was Silkroad Online and was introduced to me by my cousin, he was starting to play that game at the time with his friends and since we always shared a love for videogames he urged me to join them. I had soooo much fun playing with them and interacting with many ppl ... It was all so new to me and so exciting, I believe that is what made me love MMOs so much.

My first MMORPG was Ultima Online! Man, sooo many good adventures and awesome memories from that title. It was the first game where I played with friends using a headset back in 2001/2002 with a 56k modem. I still talk about it with my best friend and my sister, make jokes about the latin-like spell names and recalling the countless hours spent gathering resources or maxing out the professions. Probably one of the most trendsetting titles for the genre considering how many years ago it was released. These days I'm having fun on Elder Scrolls Online with the ESO Plus and even though the resource farming phase is not like in Ultima Online, the crafting part of the game reminds me of it (just that, though). I wish there was a version of U.O. with modern graphics but same game mechanics. By the way, I'm a huge fan of your channel, thanks for all your uploads and the passion you put into giving us so many updates!! Keep up the good work :)

My first MMO was Maplestory as it was the "trend" when I grew up, there was something unique about the side scrolling, spending days and days improving your character that kept my interest. I still catch myself going back to it every once in a while to relive the nostalgia and enjoyment that comes with playing it. Best part about coming back every few years or so was the introduction of new bosses and my favorite, new playable characters.

Mine was MapleStory, I was probably 10yo, and couldn’t stop playing this game for some years I just thought the grinding and gameplay was so fun! Once in a while I come back to the game just to relive those moments of my childhood, just listening to the soundtrack makes me go back to those awesome memories I have about my childhood!

First MMO I ever played (without counting HABBO Hotel LOL!) was MU online.
Played it back in 2003, and it was during the days that online games were scarce; to be frank, I did not even know they existed back then, as I was only 9 years old!
Some friends in elementary school played MU and convinced me to give it a shot.

The idea that I could play a video game with friends, without having to be in the same house, sitting next to each other, was mind blowing.
Ever since, I started jumping from MMO to MMO, trying to find the one to keep me; with FFXIV being the main winner!

The first MMO I played was City of Heroes/Villans.
My brother had the stand-alone CoV, and he was kind enough to let me try creating a charater (A eletric Brute who I named Death's Doorman, who's bio was that he was a bouncer for the villan side of Pocket D). I enjoyed it, and got my own copy of CoH/V. It was from this game that I created the orginal concepts of many of my O.C's that I still use in some form to this day.
Thank goodness it is back in the form of CoH:Homecomming.
