Glorious Model i2 wireless review - terrible battery but...

Prawn here with my thoughts on the Glorious Model I2 Wireless. This is a wireless version of a mouse that I've reviewed previously and frankly liked. These mice are similar to the Logitech G502 X in their shape, but are lightweight and pack some potentially interesting specs that make them worth considering. Possibly?

Features include:
Right handed ergonomic design suited to claw or palm grip.
9 programmable buttons with a layout suited to MMO/MOBA
Modular button setup that lets you change the style/design of two of the side buttons
A battery life promise of upto 210 hours (Bluetooth) or 110 hours (wireless) but with RGB off
75gram body and slick feel
Bluetooth 5.2 LE, 2.4 GHz wireless or USB-C connec tions
"split" main buttons, with custom Glorious Switches rated to 80 million clicks

Highlights for me include:
- Comfortable fit in hand
- Easy access buttons
- Customisable buttons at hardware level
- Masses of buttons and the option to program an extra layer in the software

Lowlights:
- USB-C cable is stupid
- Battery life is terrible with RGB on

9:30 ... YOU ALSO HAVE TO CHECK THE RADIO/CHECKBOX to enable it.

I love glorious mice and have owned them all throughout the years. They all suffer from the same standby battery drain issue.. they launched the new glorious core 2.0 recently which is still buggy but seems to do a better job at battery management.

Are you sure you don't have to enable the inactivity option by toggling the radio button right next to it? In your recording it wasn't enabled if i understand that right.

Great review! I just got this mouse a few days ago. But im waiting on some grip tape since I can't seem to use a mouse without out some grip these days 🤷‍♂️

Also you need to click the yellow check box next to the sleep timer. You don't have the box checked so it's not shutting off

Top notch review, you are informative and interesting to listen to, I appreciate your work. Thanks for pointing out those pesky PTFE covers, could you imagine missing those if you were a channel almost 200 times you're size with labs, a team over 100...that many millions rely on...nah, me neither haha.

Have you ever had any problems running 4 ddr5 ram sticks? I have heard that its best to run only 2 drr5 ram sticks, any truth to ddr5 not playing nicely in quad channel? Sorry for the random question. <3

Is there a menu for setting up fire keys, such as in the old software for the model O and D before the Glorious Core?
And does it have the same Interval and Loop options like the old software as well?

Mine also came with a bug where when the mouse is plugged in to charge the DPI goes to a lower rate which Glorious Support couldn't help with. Mouse is great but the software behind it is terrible along with the battery life.

I heard that the sensor these mice use have a tiny bit of filtering or angle snapping. And the person I heard it from also says it’s only really noticeable when doing tiny, precise motions. Is this true at all? I really want this mouse but I’m not sure if it is true.

Has anyone experienced double clicking with this mouse?

Im just gonna post this here because maybe yall can help me. I have a model i 2 wireless and i genuinely really like the amount of side buttons it has, i dont think i would want any more or any less.
i love the shape of the logitech superlight 2 ( i also own) but i wish it had 1 or 2 more side buttons and i think it would be perfect.
Comment section...can yall think of a mice with the same shape but with more side buttons? thanks in advance <3

Can we just all agree: no RGB on wireless mice?
It's so dumb. Drain your battery to power jarring lighting effects rather than the actual mouse.

It's like paying extra money to have your car's headlights shine inside your car with flashing effects.
