What I’m thinking, is that this girl is Amy Johnson, AKA the WASP moms daughter. This explains why Amy might have felt the impulse to belittle others, because of the constant biting comments she received from her mother about her looks. Amy married Jason, and kept up the relationship, because she thought that the toxic, obviously fading and forced love they shared was normal, because her parents were the same way.
