I just installed a Kitchen Aid 604 for my wife today. She's so exciting! So far so good. We initially picked the 404 model and ended up with the 604 just because it has a "Pro Dry" feature.

I have owned a Bosch dishwasher for the past 27 years. I have never had a problem with it -- it washes dishes superbly, and still runs like it is brand new. I cannot say that for Kitchenaid, as several of their products have broken down after only a few years. If I could afford to replace all my appliances with Bosch, I would instantly do it, but am now on a fixed income and cannot afford to. But I shall never stop praising the quality of my Bosch dishwasher.

We bought the Kitchenaid 604 for the top rack, and it seams to be working great, only drawback is not putting plastic in the bottom rack if using the pro dry.

I have the Kitchen Aid KDFM404KPS, and although I do like it because of the freeflex top rack. One thing I don't like is the intensity of the spray action during the wash cycle. The spray action remains the same throughout. Dosen't matter what cycle you choose. As a result, heavily soiled dishes may not entirely clean well without pre-rinsing. My LG dishwasher had the capability of changing its wash algorithm from soft to intense spray depending on the level of soil in the water. The feature proved very effective and is similar to the Bosch dishwasher shown here.

My Bosch is over 10 years old. Never had any issues and it's super quiet if you have an open floor plan.

Bosch dominated the market for years, but this generation of KitchenAid has caught up with Bosch's quality and performance. With that said, I personally prefer and recommend KitchenAid because the rack layout is superior, and I believe the fan assisted dry is also superior to Bosch's advanced drying technology.

We have the Kitchenaid and the third rack does not clean well. The rotating spray arm just doesn't pump water at a strong enough force. What is outstanding is the ability to load different shapes of bowls very well.

Call my family Bosch loyalists. Between us we have 5 of them, 1 from 2000, 2 from 2010, 1 from 2012, , 1 this year to replace a 6 month old Frigidaire which made dishes dirtier than when they went in. All of them are still going strong. No regrets about them other than the Obama-Era ones which lacked the Rinse/Hold function.

The only KItchenAid I used was growing up, a 1970s KitchtenAid by Hobart. Nowhere near as quiet as today's, but it cleaned fantastically.

We replaced our dishwasher about a year and a half ago. We really wanted a Bosch, but none were to be found in the Chattanooga area. We ended up with a Kitchen-aid KDF204KPS. We really like it, but we have had two problems. One you must keep the filters clean, and it is so quite many times I have Opened the door while it is running.

Have had my KitchenAid for 11 years. Still going strong. I do not heat dry...just crack open the door and air dry.

I love Kitchenaid Dishwashers. They have always been reliable and performed great. I will agree that the newest model doesn't dry as well as older models.

We got a Bosch last year and frankly can't believe how well cleans.

We have the Bosch 800 with Crystal Dry. It works very well. I hate DW that stick out so definitely Bosch for me. I do not like the racks as much. It is hard to fit lots of bowls and bulky casserole dishes or pans. European brands put the tines too close on the bottom rack. The top silverware rack is weird too. There are a lot of too short nubs that don't do anything. I have an Asko elsewhere and the silverware rack is better.

My experience with KitchenAid is exactly the reason I'm now buying a Bosch. KitchenAid leaks after a few years and the spray holes in the spray arms get clogged VERY easily.

My Bosch is 4 years old and it just threw a e07 error code which is the zeolite fan motor. It’s a$500+ repair. I take very good care of my Bosch and I’m not happy about having such an expensive failure so soon.

Wow. Bosch 800 is what I was want. But, man expensive at $1300 bucks. But, $1300 ÷ 10 years = $130/yr or little over $10 month. Not so bad after all...

My KitchenAid died 3 times. Not reliable. Bosch is superior!

Do you like the FREEFLEX fancier rack on the Kitchenaid 404? I can’t decide if it’s a gimmick or not. Not sure it’s worth $170 and 5dBA more…
