As others have mentioned, the Clip 3's speaker is pointing away from your mic during the test, so it's not really an accurate comparison with the new Go 3.

The only stopping me from buying Go 3 is the audio jack. I know it's very rare to happen but on an occasion that it won't pair to a device, for some reason, at least I got a backup but JBL removed that. And probably, clip 3 is the last portable speaker that would have it.

You should set each the speaker in same position - set up Clip 3 in same position of Go 3

Ive been waiting for this review. Thank you so much! I got both (jbl clip 3 and jbl go squad 3) speakers for free last December 2020 after buying jbl live 500bt. Overall, go squad 3 sounds way better than the clip 3. You are also correct about the battery life of clip 3 which is more advantageous than the go squad 3.

I have them both and I can say that the go 3 has much better performance, bass, mids even highs, but the clip 3 got 1 big + in my oppinion- the battery life.

The clip 3 position on this does affect the sound volume of it so its not fair.

As a cyclist who likes riding listening music, I think that if the Go3 would have clip it would be perfect xD But that strap it's not very useful to attach it to different kind of bags.

What happened to the sound of clip3?? Am I only the one hearing it? The sound difference is quite big, in terms of highs ang bass. The Go 3 has good sparkling highs and noticeable better bass! It's just the battery is the downside of the Go 3, other than that, it's a better pick over the Clip3.

Go 3 has the better sound so that means, the upcoming Clip 3 successor possibly the Clip 4 would sound a lot better

Louder isn't useful for long without battery life. Clip 1 and Flip 2 had awful battery life if played loud but they did sound good. I modified the battery in my older units to run longer. Clip 2 & 3 have good battery life. Waiting to see Clip 4 reviews. Would only buy when on sale.
