how do you change to the transparency you show in this video if your text is converted to outline. say if I was importing it as a vector from illustrator?

I've dont everything correctly, Everything worked but I have one problem. When I convert the image down to 1080x720 it doesn't fit my screen properly, I select fill, stretch etc etc and it loses it's "HDNess" I then change the photo resolution to 1920x180(my monitor resolution) and it loses a lot of it's quality. Anyway to fix this?
