CO2 makes up three quarters of greenhouse gasses and it comes mainly from burning fossil fuels. Technology to reduce CO2 emissions is available.

I wonder if scrubbers capable of removing CO2, SOx, and NOx all in one go are being considered. I know that sodium hydroxide can "scrub" all of these, so maybe something like a spray tower that sprays NaOH solution into the exhaust stream could be a way to simultaneously capture CO2 and sulfur from a ship's exhaust stream.
