Today I'm feeling really hungry and ready to try out some delicious foods at Ugbo street, the most famous food street in the Philippines. I think you have a new add to your favorite foods. And it's UBE. Ube is a purple yam that is originally from the Philippines. Different than the purple sweet potato, it has an even sweeter, more mellow taste than its orange relative. Ube has a slightly nutty, vanilla taste and is popularly used in desserts in Filipino cuisine, often boiled and then mashed with condensed milk.
