First review I have seen with the 2.0L and 6 speed. Thank you so much for getting this spec.

It's really easy to get a 10-20% gain in performance with this engine while maintaining the reliability of the NA 2.0L and sticking to 87 octane for about a $1000. You can replace the flappy intake hose with a silicon one for about $60, replace the downpipe with its massive catalytic converter for a high flowing catted downpipe that's about $530, and get the KTuner software for $400.

K20 is a much better choice in these. I was initially interested in the SI, but 1.5s are having problems with oil dilution and head gaskets. K20 is solid. After owning a car with a CVT I’d definitely want the manual. The 2.0 Sport Manual hatch is probably the only trim I’d buy, shame you can’t really find them.

Great video, I agree with an earlier comment, first 2.0 6spd review. Not everyone wants to deal with a turbo. Either way the car will be a perfect commuter vehicle.

I got the 2.0L sedan. It’s definitely enough power for the car, but the CVT completely holds it back. Feels much better accelerating in Sport Mode with Paddle Shifting. The point being I wish I’d waited for the 6spd Hatch.

I find it hilarious, that those cars (like my previous Corolla Touring Sport hybrid) are called sport.
IMO a "sport" car should get the tweaks and tunes to earn the title sport

Sucks that they lock the rear center armrest to the higher models. I could always swap that portion of the seat with the upper model's but still 😅😅

That k20 has vtec on both intake and exhaust cams as well as port injection.

It's a nice option to have a NA 2.0... if I'm not going for performance, then I don't want a turbo.

In the US, you do get the boost blue in the 1.5L turbo. Just not with a manual at the same time. You have to choose the CVT to get that and must be at the Sport Touring trim level.

The boost blue pearl is for the sport and sport touring models only so you can get that color with the turbo if you opt for the top trim

First time I've heard that the rev-hang was there to help new drivers. I've always heard it was there for emissions.

I believe they underrated the power bc the 2.0L engine should be able to do at least 180-200hp. I guess they didn't want this model to ruin their turbo model hp numbers.

I like this car as it is a fun, reliable and sensitive option. That said… it’s a mini Accord Crosstour with a new front end and manual tranny 😂😂

I just wish Honda would change the rear end to offer more space and less of a sloping roof line. Other than that, great car!!
