I want to give a special shout out to Cher Jones. She asked if I could give some examples of thio relaxers. They are never talked about in detail on youtube so I thought I would clear the air and make them a little less confusing.

Hi!! Thank goodness for this video. I used to get thio relaxers on my white hair to relax the curl. Ever since the Brazilian and Keratin, I can't find any brands still being manufactured. Can you help?? Please. I'm desperate. I am highly allergic or sensitive to the Brazilian blow out (original) and keratin does absolutely nothing to my hair. Thank you!!!

What would be the proper steps for relaxing afro hair with thio, and then bleaching the hair to a platinum blonde?

I’ve used the opti smooth, professional sodium and calcium hydroxide relaxers to soften my coarse Asian hair. The opti smooth is ok but it takes forever to do, and my hair felt dry like when I’ve done an all over color. The calcium hydroxide made my hair feel literally like burlap/hay. And believe it or not, using sodium hydroxide relaxer did the best job, and my hair didn’t feel dry or chemically altered, but it LAYED, crazy right? I’m a professional and I only have about 2 inches of length on the the sides and back where I use a relaxer. I did the relaxers 4 months apart, to make sure all the others relaxers were cutoff before i tried a different kind. My coworker who does my relaxer does a lot of textured hair, and she says if a relaxer is done right, it shouldn’t dry the hair out. She uses 3 diff strengths (low lye, regular, super) to do her relaxers, and increases in strengths as she works around the head, like you would increase developer as you do highlights or a bleach. But good to know other thio brands, be I only knew of optismooth.

I have 3c hair
I used thio relaxer nemed glatt, it's too weak and my hair feels weird, like it's not freely moving it, not smooth, not flowy, like hair with gel ir wax residue
What should I do?
And also what is ot that brand of relaxer that you mentioned?

Can you use Phase 2 product instead of Phase 1 to loosen curls? It seems more gentle and can be left on hair longer

hello brother i live in india so the salons here are really bad only choice is to do it myself becuase my ccurly hair is unmanagable . being able to do this would change my life. so can i use a thio based relaxer like loreal xtenso and is it safe for long term like would it give me permanent hairloss or something if it touched my scalp {im a man so its basically impossible to not touch the scalp}

Thio relaxer and japanese hair straightening is the same thing. Only thing is that japnese hair straightening uses heat
