How To Install a Serum Preset - Serum Tutorial

Installing Serum Presets can be a little fiddly if you aren't exactly sure how to go about it. I am going to show you how to do so in this video.

You don't need to close down your DAW, just reload the serum VST,

it appears but the sound does not come out only the init sound

So there are many people with the same problem in the comment section and no solution to it. Same with me - I tried with your patch, but when I load it it won't play any sound - the oscillator values don't change, it just plays whatever patch was loaded before it. I tried with other preset packs and even though I follow the instructions - Put the preset folder in the presets and the Wavetable folder in the Tables folder - same things happens. The presets show up in the program, but when you click them, they don't load and don't make a sound.

Thanks so much for this clear tutorial! Do you know if it is possible to save the presets on an external hard drive and load into serum from there?

i added the preset to the users folder but nothing comes up in serum. i've restarted ableton, rescanned folders, everything i can think of but they aren't coming up. any help?

Don't really have to close ableton.
If you have Serum on a track, just delete it from the track and then open it back up in a track and the new presets show up

Did exactly the same and when I played the presets, only the default sound happens.

when i press "show serum presets". nothing happens I am finding it impossible to open up that section where the presets are in finder. WHY

Is their a way to save the presets/audio files to an external drive? If so, how? I’m trying to leave as much space open on my hard drive and load all my presets and audio files on an external driver.
