I had no idea one of his good academy friend took their own life. That is very heartbreaking and shows the character of Palmer to represent them on such a massive stage.

I followed his career from when he was still in the youth academy and seeing he was also the only City player to score in the Supercup after coming from a sub, I remember the first time I heard City was going to sell him and I thought "nah, no way Pep is this dumb, this kid is a generational talent"....and then they sold him, cause Pep didn't want to give him more minutes, but bought a player with horrible end-product right after and gave him the minutes that he could have given to Palmer. I'm still baffled by this decision to this day. I'm cheering on the sidelines for Palmer to be one of the greatest and prove wrong Pep and whatever moron at City scouting that allowed him to leave. I'm still pissed about him leaving, God damn...

A youngster topped himself because City refused to find him an agent after dropping him off the academy in the pandemic. This is a messed up situation, and why this story seems to be unheard anywhere? Damn

Wilcock was right this lads best attribute is his intelligence, he exploits space so well, as a consequence he glides over the pitch popping up in spots between the lines. He is going to be immense, suspect he goes on to play way into his 30s, I just hope he goes on to honour the 9 year contract at the club because there is going to be a statue of this lad outside the ground.

he's not dumb. He's a footballer who can see things we'd all miss. and the end product is a remarkable player who is amazing to watch.

It's refreshing to see a player being truly who they are. There's no media trained tick box answers, no filler, he's just 100% real. I'm an Arsenal fan but got a lot of respect for Cole Palmer.
From a footballing viewpoint the guy is brilliant. Reminds me of the guys who would spend 7 days a week in the fiveaside court.

As a Chelsea fan. Say what you want about Boehly, he saw this in palmer. The other owner signed sterling. Within 2 years, city and arsenal will have competition

I'll never understand why City didn't see the potential in Palmer. Every time he played for them, he outshone every other established player by a large margin. He is (in my opinion) a better player than Bellingham but Pep never saw it. Whilst Foden is fantastic, Palmer was head and shoulders above Graelish but only saw a fraction of the game time, but he was WAY better. Pep may be lauded over his achievements but Cole Palmer proves the man is blinkered and if a genius at all, a flawed one.

Painful to see him leave city and criminal how Guardiola and Southgate treated him. Could well become the best player in the world over the next few years - let's hope they build the England team around him.

This guy just made watching football more exciting for me. At Euros it was a clear bad managing and disrespectful use of him, yet he still managed to be the best. Wish him all the best and hope for more
