Ghost Recon: Wildlands features long range sniping, and so here are some long range sniping tips to help get you guys started. Ghost Recon: Wildlands long range sniping may be clunky at times with the bullet velocity, but overall I enjoy it. Let me know if you guys have any other Ghost Recon: Wildlands sniping tips!

Wildlands is exactly what I've been waiting for in a shooter all my life! Seriously it action packed the story is great i completely love that the customization is already made available for you character and u dont have to spend the whole game looking for shit, i love that its open world and if i dont feel like playing online i can free roam in the world and get into thing's, love the weapons and love that scenery, love that i can choose what i want to do and when i want to do it & how im gonna do it.... This is what i want in games no fake unbelievable bullshit no moon boots and flying around on walls just real life good old fashion gun fighting. I hope wildlands keeps!!!! making sequels, ill always buy them. Cant wait for wildlands 2!!! Good job!

I swear, long range sniping in this game is so fun, I did El yeti when I had only 4 provinces cleared and it was very satisfying to watch the bullet drop and hit El yeti 400 meters away

for the record, I've found ballistics to be the closest to real life than in any other. with regards to ballistic compensation, assuming the ghosts are using common loads for the chamberings in the game there would be very little difference in anything that can be replicated in game between weapons. let's be honest 5.56 barely moves when pulling the trigger. you want to criticize games then laugh at how weak the protagonists are at proper weapon manipulation and basic shooting mechanics. back to balistics, assuming 5.56 14.5in standard barrel m4 with m855 green tip ball and an acog zeroed at 25m. (and the sight picture in the game is zoomed the reticle isn't really that big) the tip of the Chevron at 25, bottom of tip 100m top of center post 300, then they're marked 4, 6, depending on the model 800m. if you notice they start close together and spread out quickly. so shooting between 200 and 300m is a negligible difference

DUDES this video got some insane feedback! Thank you for watching! For all those saying suppressors actually increase bullet velocity and therefore reduce drop, I know! When I said they weren't realistic, I was comparing (or rather contrasting) how they usually behave in other titles. The suppressor drop is usually more extreme in other games for balancing reasons, but here in GRW it's moreso comparable to actual suppressor drop. Keep the comments rolling!

UPDATE: The sniper rifles have different bullet drops after patch 2.0!

Nice one Ampy.

I personally prefer no stability when sniping so it's a little more realistic and challenging. Although I would like a bipod option for when prone.

I'm guessing x6 is the most so players don't push the sniping too far beyond the games draw distance.

I knew this isn't a sniping simulator game but with Wildlands being open world, it's the perfect game to add more realism.

I'm disappointed to see the copy paste of the weapon ballistics. I would have enjoyed using a less powerful rifle at longer ranges.

I'm glad that suppressors don't dramatically effect bullet drop. In most games a suppressor will reduce bullet velocity. Even though a bullet that travels through a suppressor is often a similar speed if not faster because the baffles recycle the air pressure to increase velocity.

I would have liked to see barrel length effect overall accuracy and with carbine rifles being better for on the move and longer rifles being heavier for prone sniping.

I think the game difficulty should effect the weapon ballistics with the easier difficulty being more forgiving and harder being more realistic.

You should try your method at the salt lake. I just broke 1200 m with your method so thanks for that! Aiming for 2000 m, but it gets seriously hard to do it alone.

Not sure if anyone else covered this, but I believe you are confused on how suppressors actually work. In reality, suppressors actually give a slight boost to effective range and extend the time period that rounds are minimally effected by gravity. So, unless you believe the rifle is using subsonic ammunition(which is NOT used by the military) the bullet drop the game presents is actually pretty close. Not to mention most "sniper rifles" have ranges between 250 and 325 meters before any significant bullet drop can be seen, depending on caliber and grain of course. Just being nitpicky on that one piece, but otherwise this video has some great tips.

looking at the rough gauges of each marking in the scope the first mark seems to be at 360~380m the following I am clocking at 457m granted all accounts are torso hits. was pushing for 500m mark but it become very hard to gauge.

I personally use the L115 with the ACOG TA31H. I find it is the most accurate and precise combination for my play style. I don't take any shots outside of 400 m and I love the way the reticle ranges exactly the way the real world scope ranges. So if you know how to use the real world scope it's exactly the same way in Wildlands. Just my Opinion.
Liked👍

Whoever came up with the idea that making 6x scope in game with that big of a map is a good idea should be fired

I'm not really surprised about some of the problems I see in ghost recon really. Ubisoft usually makes the games better over time soon it'll probably be an update fixing some of the mechanics people complain about

Wish they had realist weapon zeroing. M16/M4 will hit dead center at 300 meters if you zero at 25 meters.

I only play single player, my longest shot is 660 meters. Not record setting by any means, but I've missed at 700+, mostly cause I suck at sniping.

They need the bullet drop mechanics that are used in battlefield 4.
