Record Setting Hurricane takes aim at Jamaica...

The strongest hurricane this early in the season! Historic Hurricane Beryl is even stronger. It will move right toward Jamaica, and then impact the Cayman Islands.

JAMAICA: A hurricane is coming. Finish preps as soon as possible. Be in place by sunset.
CAYMAN ISLANDS: Tropical storm or hurricane conditions are on the way. Be in place by sunset on Wednesday.

Canadian here. I was supposed to fly into Jamaica on Monday. I was told by some thoughtless touristic companies that I shouldn't postpone because there were no official warnings yet. Boy oh boy am I glad I have not listened to them. These official warnings come out too late and are not helpful to travellers, they care more about business than security. That being said, my thoughts go to the locals who cannot avoid this beast. Hope they will be fine. 🤞
