To change the network name in Windows 10 is a lot harder than previous versions of Windows. Say for example to rename the network connection in Windows 7 all you needed to do is go to the Network and Sharing center and click your connection to change the name.

Works almost perfectly for me, had to add a minor extra step probably because of me owning a slightly different version of Windows 10. Wonderful tutorial!
