As much as I agree that it was finally Dan's time to go, I don't agree with the hateful comments at all. It's not his fault that many voters appreciate a journey more than pure skill!

Having seen Dan in all the VT:s and It Takes Two every week, and also hearing him in Strictly podcast, he honestly seems like the nicest guy. Very humble, and so positive about everything that he just made me smile even when his dancing was clearly worse than most others.

On the first week I predicted him to be one of the first ones to go, but didn't mind him staying for longer until about halfway through. The last few weeks I think he would have been the first one to agree with being the weakest dancer left. Still, this has never been a pure dance competition, and it wasn't his fault that he was saved by votes so many times. After the dance off he said that he would have picked AJ and Kai over himself too, and I fully believe it 😁

That CGI beginning got me for a second! I was like, what's going on?! I wasn't feeling this one and I'm glad Anton and Craig said something about it. Decent enough attempt at the tango, just purely looking at the dance, but what was really lacking for me was the performance side; the chemistry, the passion, the presence, the strength and he needed to be a much stronger lead; she definitely held the reins.

Really Happy for Dan and Nadiya they did amazingly well to stay in so long with that competition. Good work!

Nadia is incredibly talented, so much so that I don’t even realize that Dan is there half of the time.

The guy has tried all along & I’ve seen improvement each week. I don’t want to see perfection, , it may be a dance competition, but this is not the day to day job of these celebrities, some have rhythm & musicality, some don’t, they are prepared to give up a go, that’s the main thing.

I actually liked seeing this more serious side of Dan. He unfortunately did make mistakes and very noticeable ones but overall, I think it was his best dance.

He’s just so stiff and expressionless, I can’t believe Tom is out and Dan is still in. His partner did all the work, he just kind of moved around a bit.

Oh! That was good! Nadiya's first Tango, and it was lovely! Classic. Good. And so nice for her to dsnce it with someone like Dan, he was at an above beyond level today. He did her so well. He felt like an independent ballroom dancer, as Shirley said. There were some flaws, but this is one of his better dances. It's Craig who I agree with. It was a sharp and passionate dance, and I loved it! Nadiya fans are feasting this year!

Oh, it was worth more than two sevens.

Superb music... led me to going online and checking out Gotan Project. Such a dramatic beginning to a tango (both music and choreography) :-)

Out of hold, this was on par with all of the other contestants. Brilliant performance full of unfettered passion which I wasn't expecting from Dan. In hold it wasn't amazing. His shoulder line was too far forward making it very off balance and he didn't have his fingers closed despite banging on about it in the VT. 7

I've been FAR from a Dan fan throughout the whole season but this dance, I thought, was one of his best, if not best. He is still underpar but I did think this was the closest he's been to the level of the other dancers. I really love this dance too, the music is fab.

Dan has done so well throughout his Strictly journey; he should be so proud of himself. Unfortunately, this wasn't his best dance for me but the tango is hard. But a good effort. And he should be proud of how far he has come. 7

Okay, I love Dan and have been for the longest. However, Shirley... 9!! I mean some of the traveling moments were pretty good and he had good attempts of leading Nadiya across the floor. However, I felt like the footwork was placed A LOT! In addition, the ballroom frame wasn't consistent which gave jagged execution when they were trying to do sharp staccato head and leg movements towards the beginning. All and all, I actually wanted passion especially with this track but a good attempt nonetheless! Shoutout to CGI for that alleyway, I honestly thought they were not in the studio for that bit.

This just feels so safe. It wasn't necessarily bad, but so meh compared to the level we see from the others.

I just cannot believe that I am still watching Dan after, what, 10 weeks? His performance like previous endeavours was stiff, arthritic, lacking in originality, wooden, congealed - I could go on. I've mentioned before in other forums/videos, if this guy gets through tonight (it's Sunday) then I shall have to believe that the BBC has fixed this whole
