I served in the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards. No need to make lying about being in the armed forces a criminal offence. FFS I thought we had more backbone then this. Everyone has to be offended so let them be offended. I’ll just take the piss and ridicule them like we would have done in the army. The easiest way to sus out a bullshitter is ask them their serial number. Always works

I understand where youre coming from with this. But i dont think we need to go down the US route of making it a criminal offense. Sussing out a walter mitty is pretty easy. And you can have endless fun ripping them for years afterwards.
