It's kind of baffling that they dropped from 4K all the way to 1080p, AND dropped other settings, and they STILL couldn't hit a locked 60fps.

Something doesn’t add up as many other games have hit 60fps in their performance mode with out having to lower shadow resolution, foliage density, geometry draw in, texture quality, ambient occlusion all the while reducing the resolution by 75%! Also the fact the series s runs at 1080p 30fps which is very similar to last Gen clearly shows this game isn’t tapping into these consoles power

I wish games like this would have a mode where it would run in quality mode outside of combat and performance mode during combat. I’m not a techie so maybe not possible, but I’d definitely use it if it was.

Imagine being in the 4K era and having to settle for 1080p just to play at 60fps. I feel like 1440p should've been the baseline for the PS5 and XSX

The problem with these powerful consoles is that developers are getting lazy with optimization. 1/4 of the resolution for double the frame rate makes no sense.

I'm glad Marvel has been staying away from MCU designs as much as possible. As a major comic book reader, I love seeing original designs and also comic accurate designs (like the ones you unlock in the game) show up in these games.

Series S had 60fps mode, but they silently removed it in patch. Optimization in this game is really poor.

After playing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, this drop is visual fidelity for performance mode is pretty sad. Sounds like an engine problem + lazy optimization.

I'm not sure 1080p was necessary to hit 60fps. Perhaps not enough time to optimize?

For me it's unacceptable on gen 5 to have to choose between 4k 30 and 1080p kinda 60. There are already launched games that prove they can do better.

This is the only game I’ve come across so far where I may actually choose quality mode over performance mode on PS5/Series X.

The Dawn Engine was notorious with Mankind Divided for being incredibly resource demanding, on console of course, but also on PC. Why do you think they chose the Dawn Engine for this game rather than the in-house engine used for shadow of the Tomb Raider which has just as much (at least) fidelity and detail but is much more resource efficient and clearly much more scalable?

This game really surprised me. It was so under my radar and not something I would normally enjoy, but I'm currently loving it. Got it on Series X and I don't really notice the performance hits because everything else is so good.

More games should do Rachet and clank..which is 40fps in 120hz mode.
Feels super smooth, low input delay and keeps 4k.. devs need to wake up.

there should be a mode which stays at 4K/30 FPS for cutsenes and slow exploration but automatically switches to the 60 FPS mode in combat.
