I love this mindset. If you try to learn all this in-depth knowledge as a bronze you'll get burnt out and stop playing the game. You have to learn it in increments

“Put these foolish ambitions to rest” made me think of the ost, the hundreds of deaths, and gave me flashbacks

Just play midlane or jungle and you'll never need to know

Funny thing though a bit unrelated. The only people who intuitively know about map and timers and how fast who where are mains of Garen, Nunu and though hard to observe Singed.

The best tip for someone who is learning the game imo is the slowpush 2 waves and then hardpush 3rd

yep
<gold is usually focused on improving micro skill first
after that, you can improve macro skill (and micro further)
sure, its good learning macro from the start, but its more digestable to learn step by step, little by little rather than taking all in one

Actually really good advice, the first thing I did when I start playing league is 1v1 my friend until I could kill him, not even play the macro game (a group of friends told me to play with them, one of them beign Diamond and the one that 1v1 all of us)
Because of this I was actually able to rank and place silver on my first season (never touched Iron nor Bronze) then later I was forever gold for 3 seasons straight and then I duo with another friend that was a little better than me and we hit platinum on season 10 (me for the first time) and then I got platinum 1 more time and later this last 3 seasons I've been emerald (now I'm duoing with my diamond friend maybe I can hit diamond this time)
In short just focus on learning a single champion you like to the point you can one trick it to gold, then you can start thinking of picking another champ and the macrogame

I kinda feel like this was more accurate advice a few seasons ago. It's gotten harder, and I feel like what was gold in s6 is now bronze.

The amount of smurfs in bronze and silver is insane especially in newer servers. All of them know wave management and other fundamentos.

Start with learning to last hit. Then how towers kill minions. Then how keeping 4 minions alive makes a wave against you. Then you just move onwards one step At a time till you don't need to think about it.

You were asked "How can I learn it" and answered "You don't". But of course you can learn these things and they can get you out of Bronze. Don't tell a player that they shouldn't be ambitious for things they can learn. Because everyone can learn these things. The only thing that, in the end, makes a difference between the best and those below is reaction time. The rest you can learn. There's a reason we call these things "Fundamentals" at this point and teaching people about these things is what should be done.

Additionally at lower elos your team overall might not get the concepts of those mechanics as well. They might reference them like they watch content creators at higher elos but they won't know the telltale signs right away.

your rank is a amalgamation of your competence in many different skills
champion knowledge
champion mastery (micro)
real time Game knowledge (macro)
wave management
recall timers
laning
farming out of lane
map awareness
Timer awareness (levels, objs, gold needed for next item, lvl 3 gank)
skirmishing
obj/map control

lmk if I missed any

the other part is, each skill gets harder in higher elo because there’s another person on the opposite side trying to prevent it.

I really wish low elo really was still just little guys learning.

I’m bronze and I understand wave management. Not a difficult concept for me to grasp for some reason. Doesn’t change the fact that I don’t understand what all the champs do well enough. Until I know how to play the actual game I don’t expect to get outta bronze even if I “mostly sorta get it”

Can confirm it IS possible to know wave management in bronze.

I am bronze 4 and know what freezing is. Sometimes my support (i am a caitlyn main) breaks it by pushing with his support item. But i am not that far that i know what the next wave will do and if a wave will slowpush into me or the enemy if the numbers are close

I've been p1 (now emerald)-D4 (d5 when it existed) since season 4. I have no idea about wave management lmao.

It’s possible to have a solid grasp of wave management in bronze, but there’s not much point. More likely than not the enemy has no idea what they’re doing, let alone the rest of your team. Understanding the wave honestly feels more annoying than anything because any attempt to make a play off of it gets soundly ignored. The only way I have fun in low elo is by playing support so I can just pretend the wave isn’t my problem, aside from telling my AD to push before we back.
