I just got this laptop from Best Buy for a hair under $1700. Open box basically brand new. I assume the person who bought it back didn’t like the gimped 4070. For me that’s not a big problem. I have a powerful desktop. This laptop is the perfect size and power for on the go gaming. If anyone can get it open box excellent condition for $1500 or so I’d say go for it.

Everyone glances over the thermals on this. It runs roughly 20 degrees cooler than all others. So if you plan on using this in your lap, this is the only option right now. All the other laptops run way too hot.

I'm still surprised about the list price you have for the Legion Pro 7i. It is roughly equivalent to the European list price, and more than I paid at a special offer. Normally, this would mean $2100 tops in US terms. For Lenovo specifically, Europeans get quite attractive prices. Is there some trade embargo that explains it?

I would have picked g14 if it was not 200$ more expensive than omen 14 . Its my only option and its good enough

I wouldnt spend more than $1k for this and even that's a stretch for the 4060. Given that g14 2023 frequently comes in at that price and is much better.

I need an suggestion, legion slim 5 intel 14inch or this omen 14 inch? Im going to buy one of this (i trust this both company more than any other company, the reason why im confuse between this two only) but im confuse as i do like the aesthetics and all of omen but most reviews seems paid and just sugar coating and also idk which one will perform well for my needs

I will be using a bit of higher end softwares like revit, autocad and 3d modelling, also maybe like 3-5 days a week gaming for like 2-3 hrs a day and a bit of video editing

Games like gta, fps games like csgo, god of war, spiderman and upcoming forza horizon pc version

Also legion slims are out of stock here and they have been saying that maybe that will be available next month and omen is available

Hoping a suggestion so that i can choice wisely

Also just by specs and the performance based as the price is not my concern here like you can neglect price here and just a suggestion purely based on performance and what they offers

Great video. I was debating getting one but the FPS for an RTX4070 just is too low. I would love to game in the car though and this would still be better than a steam deck...tempting. I am already seeing open box $1500 at best buy.
