I have a 15 year old camera with similarly aged lenses, but they’re good quality. The pictures I’ve been able to take, while not amazing in a composure/content aspect, are still perfectly sharp and well defined for what I need. All that to say, I am still not good enough at pictures to graduate from my Sony A55

A 500$ Sigma is not considered a "nice lens" its a base model/add on lens, but i see what you're trying to do
