We are back! For the 2nd annual Cerro Gordo Silver Run. This year was bigger than ever with 230 runners trudging up our 8 mile dirt road to the abandoned mining town of Cerro Gordo. Along the way, they gained almost 5,000 feet in elevation.

A big thanks to our other sponsors HOKA, Pit Viper, La Columbe, and more.

Mailing Address: PO Box 490, Lone Pine, CA 93545

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Seeing the 80yr old fella do the entire run was amazing...and inspiring.

I am so proud of the 80 yo man that did the whole footrace. Congratualations to him.

What makes this foot race especially challenging is A) The length of road; 8 miles B) The elevation climb of 5, 000 feet and C) The thinning of atmosphere as elevation increases. I think this foot race has massive appeal and will only grow in popularity. I also bought your book Brent. I loved it.

Brent put on one amazing race. The race atmosphere, food, and volunteers were all great. The medal was amazing. Thank you @NickMartinelliTV and Brent. I know it took hours and days to mine the ore, smelt it, and roll the silver. The coolest medal ever!

You keep referring to it as an abandoned mining town, but now, through your efforts, it is a once-abandoned mining town.

George Cooper & Jeff Kozak going from 268th & 245th last year to 8th & 3rd this year? That's some insane training and improvement. Good on those guys!

Brent - I know you have years of work ahead to continue your dream of bringing Cerro Gordo back, but watching this it dawned on me you have already brought the town back to life! Hosting a party for ~300 people, now millions of people worldwide aware of Cerro Gordo, it blows me away! Also left me in tears of joy...not surprisingly!

As someone who has stayed at CG many times, I am so overwhelmed with joy for what you’ve accomplished Brent. It’s such a sacred location to me and your care and enthusiasm toward it has been so special. This particular idea is brilliant. Thank you for taking such great care of Cerro Gordo and I know she is in great hands. Best of luck to you with everything!

Wow Brent. I've been subscribed for a couple years and you've come a long long way. Just look at the 1.69MILLION subscribers. It's kinda hard to believe how big this whole Cerro Gordo thing has gotten. I know you had lots of help but you yourself gets the credit for having so many people wanting to be a part of your life. I think I speak for all your followers and friends. Great job.

The race was really cool, but the medal was by far the coolest.

I presume the 80 ( two weeks away from 81) year-old man was the oldest racer - cool old guy. You and Cerro Gordo draw amazing commercial support with no big network cameras, remote trucks, and whispering commentators every quarter mile.

Man, I saw every single episode of this channel, and after all those years, I'm still super eager to see episodes pop up.
