My family and I stayed at the Stanley in the Stephen King Suite. We had a few interesting experiences, the smell of roses and few times during the night, the bathroom window opened twice and the doors on the armoire were standing wide open when we woke up, but they were closed when we went to bed.

Stayed at the Stanley Hotel few times in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Noted they had a Pet Semetary nearby with names of their dead dogs.

I have watched a lot of documentary on the Stanley hotel and yours is the best.

I like the tidbits about Dumb & Dumber and Jim Carrey.

As someone who's visually impaired, thank you for describing the pictures. So many spooky content creators are just like, "Here's a supposed ghost photo! Do YOU see the spirit there?" and I'm like, "No. Sometimes I can't even see the tangible stuff in the photo, never mind the ghost."

My husband planned a Spirit Tour for us while I was visiting him since he was working out of state in Colorado. Our tour guide directed us to go into a room. We were the first to enter. As soon as I entered I looked at the closet without a door. I told my husband there's something in there. As everyone from our group got into the room our guide announced that Lucy likes to hide in the closet.

I’ve seen several episodes of Ghost Hunters where they visited the Stanley. They always caught the best things.

If you haven’t I’d love to hear you do Waverly Hills in Louisville, KY. I live in KY and was able to go to Waverly in 2014 on Friday the 13th and it was a full moon! Had amazing experiences

Awesome video! The Shining is one of my favorite movies and I was able to visit the Stanley Hotel. So fun and spooky; I just subbed to your channel. Can't wait to catch the entire backlog.

Hello Avery, love listening and watching your podcasts, especially right before I turn in for the night. I've personally visited The Stanley 5 times and have had several experiences. The most profound was after falling asleep in a chair in my room one evening only to be awakened by what felt like a gentle nudge and female whisper saying, "Time for bed". This is the first time I've told this other than two very close friends. I didn't bolt from the room though, I just dutifully crawled into bed and had a very restful night. I don't think the gravity of it all really hit me until the next morning. But I believe that "someone " was making sure that a guest was enjoying a pleasant stay. Although I still get goosebumps thinking about it now. Thank you for your vidz and podcast.

Stayed at the Stanley and did the night tour. Interesting point, it was the 40yr anniversary of the book release, which we didn’t know until right before checking out. Anyway, we experienced quiet a few puzzling moments that weekend

Thanks for all your research and sharing. I found this & the Stephen King Book Club channel both on the same day.
So, I saw the fictional hotel information followed by your (non)fiction info.
Pretty fun day!

P.S. I was at the Stanley Hotel around 1996/1997 and I only made it as far as the lobby.
I was filming Stephen King coffee mugs (they had just filmed the miniseries I think) when the fully charged battery died.
I think I have heard before that electrical devices are affected by spirits (if they are real).
Maybe that was their way of telling me not to film!?! Haha

I can’t get over how beautiful this hotel is! 😍 The level of activity reported makes me wonder if maybe the land was cursed by Native Americans after it was purchased.

Yes I have many pictures of the Stanley hotel and I got lots of ghost pictures the creepy one is when our tour girl took us to the tonel where a chef died of a heart attack he’s known to rich women he was a lady’s man and my husband was touch lol 😂 I was jealous bc I wasn’t touch by the chef 👩‍🍳 😂 lucky but we heard a male voice and females behind us when they turn off the lights and no one was behind us 😩 also I capture Mrs Stanley by the stairs also another lady next to a restaurant and capture many orbs and mist in the túnel! Also I capture the same lady looking by the window too!!! We left early because my husband and are very sensitive to the energy and it was a lot! And overwhelming 😩 it was a beautiful hotel and very cool experience there’s also another room where the women used to séance the ouija board very creepy doll in that room I also could feel the heavy energy in that room!

Awesome episode Avery! I have had dinner at the Stanley but my friend refused to stay there! Boo! Tell you what, we should invite all your listeners to a Stanley Slumber Party! 😳 Wouldn’t that be fun? 😊

When I was in Parochial school outside Denver, we did a class field trip to the Stanley. A couple of the kids said they saw a see through woman on the inner balcony, and saw same but a man in a top hat. I didn't see anything 😕 but wanted to.

I don't why I watched this and I travel a lot for work. I might have to sleep with the lights on while staying at a hotel
