The Sunday Rant is on strike! Not really. Let's talk about the dock strike and how trucking could benefit from that. We also need to discuss the LYTX safe driver certificate that is suitable for framing! Have you gotten one yet? I didn't think so. Does it improve safety? Doubtful.

Spot on Mark. Strikes work, even the UAW strike was a success. Look at the scoreboard, the rank and file workers hold all the power. Just can’t get truckers to understand it

I work for a regional company and I've been with them for 27 years now. I'm home every day, I make 30 plus an HOUR, overtime after 40 hours, no drive cam, affordable benefits, modern equipment and the company is as solid AF and growing. I'm retiring in five more years. What I'm saying is, these jobs DO exist. Get out there and find what's right for you. Peace and be extra safe, as it isn't getting any easier.

Well said!! If those people spend as much energy in looking for another job as they do in making vids complaining would solve many of their problems. I was at a place that hauled reefer. Worst ever. Hours and hours at a time at dock. Moved to a company that does 90% drop and hook. I’m in and out even before the driver that was checking in front of me gets to opening his doors lol

No driver unity. Too many foreigners. Too many women nobody will unify it's impossible. Your last chance for that to happen was back in the 90s.

Too many Truck drivers have too many independent and misclassified 1099’s. There are too many people that drive that are completely in totally destitute and desperate. Without a union, there will be no strike or slow down.

The unions dont seem to understand they dont work for the Port Authorities they work for private companies that are in the port and if i was a business owner if u walk off the job then u no longer work for my company and their unions can pay their bills
