Parrots are highly intelligent and love their human companions unconditionally. My macaw, never leaves my side if I come down sick. And if I cry, she sits on my shoulder and wipes my tears on my cheek with the top of her head. I am constantly amazing at her. I am
Glad that this lady’s daughter adopted Sinbad. Sometimes the parrots will become severely depressed when their human companion passes away.

I love knowing her daughter loved her mom enough to take the parrot. What an honor to her mother!

This is the sad case of our elderly. Left to their own devices. It is also inspiring and worthy when they find comfort, companionship and affection in an animal. When you hear of dogs being brought into homes for the elderly and they immediately perk up with joy from the touching and loving on a dog or cat it is heart warming. Why any acting authority would deny seniors this simple blessing is an egregious heartless act.

My parents had an African Grey. They know language at the level of a small child. They also make bites...their beak can break a broomstick. Our Mikey did not know the word for rain...so one day he told my mom it's watering in the back yard. So if someone calls you a bird brain...say thank you because birds are smart!

That was a touching story, thank God for allowing special animals and people to come into our lives, because this world can be hard to be in at times.

I’m 71, partially disabled, have osteo arthritis and atrial fibrillation, along with other “bits and pieces”. I inherited my cat (or I should say, became her slave) three years ago, when my brother in law died. I’ve now been served a “no fault” eviction order, and the council (U.K.) are putting me into a flat in a high rise block, pets not allowed!! I’m devastated! I’m about to have her registered as an emotional support animal, and I hope that will be enough! She has been a godsend! I know I can’t but, I’d rather be in the cold with her, than in a warm snuggly bed without her!

Well done to Sinbad. Life is strange we meet people by chance or a reason especially when we are at our lowest ebb. It's the same when we choose a pet or an animal comes into our lives it's always for a reason RIP to the old lady, Sinbad will never forget her. Animals come to us as guides in life sometimes at our lowest ebb's in life .🙏

Thank you for the great story.

I have an African Grey myself.
She is 11 and her name is Rocky.
She is very intelligent and talks and makes a lot of sounds.
When the weather is nice i take her with me outside.
I love her, she is my everything.
She brings so much positivity in my life.

Parrots are such great partners for life and they make life so much more enjoyable.

I've known for decades that birds are emotionally intelligent, highly empathetic and affectionate. They deserve all the care and love a good parent would give a child.

This is a very important story. People need to take our responsibility seriously to these birds, dogs, and etc. who love us and depend totally on us...thankyou for this insight.

I own a budgie and she recently turned 10yrs old. Our bond is incredibly special. I just wish people in my life understand how special and loving birds can be. I show them but most of them could care less.

Animals feel deeply most often more deeply than people. Animals are beautiful and so pure.
