I was really stressed about getting my bunny next week because I couldn't find a definitive answer on a young rabbit's diet. Thank you so much for this video!! This was so helpful!!

I have ten week old bunnies I bought from a farmer who raised them for meat. I currently feed them unlimited alfalfa and alfalfa pellets, I place the pellets in a feeder teaser so they gotta work for it lol they do a good job of eating both. They eat romaine lettuces, kale, collard greens, spinach, parsley and cilantro, carrot tops, and fresh wheat grass. (Not all at once, I cycle them out but lettuce and herbs are the staple for their daily fresh veg dinner. I am careful with kale and collard greens as they are high in calcium)

I got my rabbit from a sketchy pet store when he was only 2 weeks and he was stored with a bunch of guinea pigs. Now he is happy and healthy and he loves people. 🙂

Thank you! I'm watching you from South America and I really appreciate this video and all the info you share! I have a 4 months rabbit and finding a vet that specializes in small pets so they weren't very sure about the amounts of food, and mostly on the internet they talk about adult's diet, 80% hay, 10% pellets and 10% greens. Based on that I wrongly started feeding him more hay and much less pellets but just for two days until finding this! Thanks a lot, you'll help me to make him a healthier rabbit!! ☺️

Great video content. I fed my first baby like an adult because I didn't know better. There wasn't much out there about how different a young rabbit's diet is

We bought a buck 7 weeks old a year ago and he never liked hay, he only ate pellets ... now we have him for maybe a year and he is still not eating anything else but pellets... He always has hat in cage but rarely touches it... But it looks very healthy and happy and full of energy...

I've a young rabbit nearly 2 months old now, I'm a first-time rabbit owner and I give her some veggies, just a little. She loves them and her poops seem to be normal, could I keep doing this or should I stop giving her the veggies?

Omg thank you for this video! My two Holland Lops are 4 months now and I think I've followed this pretty well, but I do give them treats. I've given them little bits on banana mush from my finger and thin slices of baby carrots every few days. I can definitely start changing their treats to cilantro or something, but is what I'm giving them bad?
