28 Miles Alone on the Four Pass Loop - ASMR - Inspired by Kraig Adams

The Four Pass Loop is likely Colorado's most popular backpacking destination and for good reason! It is simply spectacular. I spent four nights and 28 miles solo backpacking the loop in the Maroon Bells - Snowmass Wilderness which traverses Four 12,400+ foot passes. West Maroon (12,495 Feet) Fridgid Air Pass (12,405 Feet) Trail Rider Pass (12,415 Feet) and Buckskin Pass (12,462 Feet). This Loop takes your through the White River National Forest through Fravert Basin, near Geneva Lake, Snowmass Lake, and back again to Aspen Colorado. If you are interested in the Four Pass Loop I will be putting out an In-depth Guide soon. So please subscribe. The style of this video was inspired by @kraigadams who (in my opinion) has the best backpacking trip videos on the web.

My wife and I just completed the Four Pass Loop this last week. This video was my inspiration, so THANK YOU! The trek was very challenging, and insanely beautiful. What an adventure!

Love Kraig... so glad to see more people emulating him. So serene and inspiring to others to get out there!

Totally binging these videos and I must gush again. The effort to set up those shots while on a solo hike does not go unnoticed. Yeah, I know other backpacking YouTubers do it too...but you do it better.

Just came across your channel. Great video. Brought back fond memories of hiking that area in the '70s. Something I do today that I didn't do back then is hike with poles (not sure you could get them in Colorado then). Lord, they make everything so much better. Anyway, thanks for the video!

THANKS for this video ! If schedule works out, I will be doing the 4 Pass Loop in about one month. Along with Kraig's video, these shots increase the excitement - I can't wait to get on this trail.
I am a little concerned about altitude acclimation. Had intended to skip Geneva Lake, but now I may plan to camp there.

That wide shot at 7:55... you had to want that one. It was a great shot and a great video. Glad you decided to keep doing these types along with your informative ones. You remember when we were growing up and the parents would make home movies that we would barely ever watch? We'll, I've found making these trip videos really let me relive the trip in a big way. So worth it! 👍❤️💪👏

Love this video. Great video work. I look forward to more videos like this. I love the occasional gear load out, but seeing someone hike a trail is downright spiritual when you are stuck at work.

2 questions:
1) At the risk of sounding ignorant (and it's something I should know), what was the jar for that you had put in the bush in the morning after your first night?
2) Was that YOU hiking on the super wide angle after the Buckskin pass? If so, that was a TON of backtracking for a spectacular looking shot.

My new favorite video on the internet. Did you actually get any sleep the night it hailed or did that continue all night long?

Loved the video. I'm curious how the Nemo held up to the hail?

Curious as to how difficult you found this hike. Did you have trouble with the altitude? Any trouble finding a place to camp? How far did you go every day? My brother and i just did a similar distance on the Eagle Rock loop, but obviously with less elevation gain/loss and not at altitude. Would love to hear your thoughts on this trip. Lovely shots in your video.
