I have an Ibach grand from 1913 that has been restored. Truly amazing instrument

For an instrument that is over 100 years old, the sound is truly amazing. My piano teacher also had an Ibach. Sadly, the company went out of production several years ago, until then the oldesst piano manufacturer in the world.

This is really beautiful sound. Age is a positive thing. This eclipses most pianos.

LOVE Ibach!! one of my very best friends in college had a Ibach semi-concert grand, it was a HUGE pleasure to play - love the sound and the feel!

Wow. Am I the first to comment? This piano sounds sublime. It's warm in a way that doesn't surrender much clarity. Maybe there are even warmer pianos, but its warmth is sort of benign. It sounds like a gentle giant, and listening, you feel like there's unlimited power there, just in case something extraordinary comes along in the music. I'm so glad it was restored.

I grew up playing on an Ibach upright piano, it was my first and only piano when I was in Singapore. I was forced to sell the piano when my dad’s business failed. I stopped playing when I moved to Canada. I recently started playing again after 20 years. I can no longer afford an Ibach and there are so few in Toronto where I now live. I have no choice but to buy a Yamaha Clavinova CSP 170 because I live in a condo. You can imagine how badly I miss the sound of Ibach. I cry when I hear the sound. It’s different from other pianos. Very deep and clear on the base notes and very ringing on the high treble notes.

I want to experience one of these so badly I suspect a feel and sound closer to that of a August Forster but there have been exceedingly rare in the wild, especially so with their closure several years ago . Lovely piano! I think the only other one I have not been able see is your even rarer ones from Richard Lipp /Stuttgart, Medtner in particular preferred /liked those quite a bit
Great video Robert ! Congrats on the growth and new showroom!

I have one from 1886, we are taking it to town tomorrow for a fundraising event, a great many pianists really enjoy this piano. It has been used for many tracks, theres something special in the tone. It would be very hard for me to sell this instrument

Someday, when every other company in the world has been bought out, there's going to be an Apple iBach.

You moved from California to New Mexico? Now another state? Why all the moves?

How is such a big piano considered 'semi concert'? What constitutes a full concert grand?
