I wanted to share how I set up my new phone! Minimalist style!
Because I've been working so hard and getting my life together, minimalism and minimalist thinking have really helped me stay happier and more energetic towards my professional and creative goals! I owe a larger percentage of it to the fact I now spend even less time on my phone, this minimalist walkthrough of my iPhone 12 mini hopefully inspires you to clean up your phone!

I've been using the Light Phone II as my daily phone for about 6 months now but have been really missing my iPhone because of the camera and Spotify exclusively... this made me realize that with a little self control I can revamp my relationship with a smartphone

I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini.
Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible.
It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.

I have in the past week gone fulltime grayscale on my phone (apart from the odd use cases) and I have had such a productive week, and I have so much more time on my hands now I'm not wasting it staring at my phone. Really liking your phone set up. Thank you for the wallpapers, they work just as fine on my Pixel.

I've been working on living more minimalistic for quite awhile.

I recently quit my job working at Amtrak because I was so miserable working one of those mind numbing jobs and got into another field entirely (IT). It's also mind numbingly boring but fortunately I get to work from home while researching what I want my next move to be. I've felt stuck for some time but watching your videos has given me some hope that moving away from the traditional life will still have it's own rewards. It's f*cking terrifying but little by little I'm cutting the chains that have been holding me back. It's such an odd feeling to move away from the traditional security net that society imposes on us (safe career, safe college degree, etc...) and yet you feel more free doing so.

Your videos are amazing man. Truly inspiring! Hope to match your quality eventually. Still learning the ropes and actually found your channel when researching the difference between 24 and 30 fps LOL

Hi Jeffrey,
I want to get the same shortcut that you have in the video at minute 4:38 as the homescreen and to put the applications that I use very often. Then on page 1 I want to have the applications that I use daily but less often, and I will leave the rest of the applications in the App Library.
I downloaded your wallpaper on Mac, I sent it to my iPhone, but I can't get that shortcut you have on the homescreen. What am I missing? :)

This is a long shot since this video is over a year old. But, how did you setup the shortcut to swap between grayscale and color with the triple press of the power button?
Edit: I figured it out. Settings, accessibility, accessibility shortcuts, color filter on triple tap of the side button. Works great!! Thanks for the idea.

Love it when someone tries to put a dent in the horrid phone culture that has taken over the world. Im a retired guy who doesn't have a cell. I paid 50 bucks for a magic jack hookup for 5 years and I have put the magic jack app on my iPad and iPod and I make and receive calls off these two devices. It only works with the internet but the world is so full of hotspots I never find myself without a signal. Sometimes out in public I swear I'm the only one not looking at a screen. Looks like you are in Ma. now and as a north shore resident this is a great place to live a minimalist life.
