I cannot believe it was so simple. I have two of these toilets and your tutorial saved me the embarrassment of telling guests they might need to flush twice. I agree with you that l wouldnt purchase these again.

Thanks man! My toilet wasn’t filling at all after changing the water valve. It turns out I forgot I was playing around with the fill valve to see if that fixed the water hammer noise and I left the floater with no give. Saved me from going to Home Depot for the 4th time! 😂

Thanks for the very informative video, it saved the day for me. The tank was draining very, very slowly. The cartridge had lime build up on the seal. Fixed per your video.
Cheers!

I had the same problem. I rubbed it down with a soft cloth to remove the calcium. I removed the silicone seal and wiped it off. All good. Great video very thorough. Thanks.

you solved my problem with one sentence. the 'out hole' in the toilet is where the water is supposed to rush out. mine fills fine, but you have to hold the flush valve down... sometimes it flushes all the way, sometimes not. but if you dump a pot of water in really fast, whoosh and down it goes, so not the 'disappearing' end of the toilet. i took the flush valve out and cleaned it top to bottom, but it back and still the same thing... took the part from the duplicate toilet in the basement and same thing, but both flush valves worked in the downstairs toilet, so obviously it's the toilet not the flush valve. on with the rubber gloves and whaddaya know, i could actually feel crunchy bits all around the inside of that front hole (sure there is a technical name)... just about out of CLR, so i dumped a whackload of vinegar in it. not sure how much my septic tank critters will like that but better than chemicals... so thanks! pretty sure that's going to fix it. 5 mins later. took a tiny screwdriver, with the handle down into drain hole, and gave a few pokes at the calcium crunchies and they came off no problem... back in business!!

Great video. The resources Madison has on their website left me high and dry but this video filled all the gaps.

This was very helpful. For some reason my plunger had developed a bubble in the rubber seal. I popped it like a pimple and now it’s working fine. I didn’t know you could take that thing apart and service it until this video. Thank you!

I felt that was a difficult task. I can now do it myself after seeing your video. Thanks!

Realistically, if your toilet was flushing fine, no need to make it use more water. I just bought 2 of these, because they were 200$ on clearance for 45$ each, and oval with the silent close toilet seat. It's actually allot more comfortable to sit on and an easier target to hit when standing, so far we are very happy especially since we paid so little for them. Gotta love LOWES around the last week of January, that's when they clear out the previous years bath stuff - hint hint... We got a 3 piece glass shower for 90$ as well, retail was 585$. Yeah, the little guy wins once in awhile...

Thanks a lot. My toilet tank was not filling up (no water at all). This process made it work.

Thanks for your help you saved me from buying another toilet, my Jacuzzi lives to see another flush. Wow I had the same problem slow flush and I did have calcium in my plunger and that trick to move those blue tabs all the down made a Super BIG!!!! difference in the flush. Now it feels like my toilet wants to suck me in too like an airplane toilet lol.

Every once in a while it’s good to put some activated charcoal in the tank, it slightly acidifies the water dissolving mineral buildup and also absorbs minerals in the hard water

Very helpful as I couldn’t even find a Foremost website. But music is distracting.
