Chrome Paint Review! SuperCheap Auto Australia

I bought these Chrome Automotive paints so I could do some testing and review their quality. Other than expensive specialty Chrome paint products that require the use of special base coats, these paints are enamels and don’t require any special steps to apply them.
I have use many brands in the past but the Kromebrite Liquid chrome is by far the best one I have tried.
I will do more testing to see if I can get a clear coat to work, but as a top coat the Kromebrite is pretty durable. It can tolerate being handled with out marking too much.
Several other chromes can’t be handled much at all with out tarnishing and losing their optical reflectivity; so I’m quite impressed with this one.
The Chemtech brand doesn’t look so bad, but it’s formula isn’t as good. It definitely has a much more oily, and thick enamel paint consistency. It stays much more tacky and the paint pools and slicks a a bit of a milky looking substance that affects the look of it.

With good smooth surface prep and the prescribed 24 hour dry time the Kromebrite really put performs the Chemtech.

So if you need a nice chrome effect paint that’s cheap and easy to use I definitely recommend the Kromebrite from SuperCheap Auto.
