The purpose of qualitative research and our role as researchers. How to minimize bias and leading questions.
We bring a wealth of experiences to the research process that will shape how we frame the study, the research/interview questions, and the interpretation of the findings.
However, we can minimize such influence by embracing who we are, stating our subjectivity and positionality, recognizing our possible bias, and taking action to minimize the effect we could have on the participants' responses or research interpretation...
