Sounds good to me .. and its direct. Probably even better through a speaker.

I keep reading a lot of negative comments, first of all he is going direct to the board and he's using the stock amp models which sound best through a real cab and other outside cab sims. Also when you get amps modeled, you should always get the sound of the amp direct without a cab... this takes the cabinet out of the equation so you get the real true character of the amp. Mine sounds absolutely awesome, cleans up beautifully and fits in seamlessly with my midi switching system and pedals. It's awesome and you should try one. It truly feels like a real amp to me, and this review does not.

Anytime I watch your videos it always makes me wanna play. You do this quick little thing with the pentatonic fingering style like a muted like hammer on thing I can't explain it, been trying to figure what your doing cause I love the way it sounds anyway love the videos dudeski keep rocking

Lol. this sounds killer. If you don't think so, then you should change the tubes on your iPhone speakers.

It's pretty cool how you manage to make most every amp and/or guitar sound similar to1984. (Van Halen album for you young folks). Which is awesome btw!

Thanks for the review. Good one. Decided not to get one. They all sounded unresponsive to me. Have a nice day man.

I think it sounds pretty damn good for what it is. I also love how Steve always sounds like Steve no matter what he's playing or running through.

Thank you Steve ! Nice explanations on that ''not so clear'' piece of gear. Very interesting !

Get ready for the Solid State vs. Tube comments. Technology has caught up and the tube guys don't like it. Personally I love the tone options that are so easily available, I just want to play guitar not fumble with pedals / amps / cabs, etc. I play in a room with low volume so tubes mean nothing to me. Like this head, a bit pricey.

DUDE YOU ARE THE MASTER OF PULLING OFF AMAZING TONE FROM A COMPUTER, I BUILD GUITARS AND HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR A LONG TIME I JUST CAN'T GET INTO THE COMPUTER THING, NOT OUT OF HATE BUT I JUST DON'T HAVE THE PATIENCE BUT YOU ARE AWESOME AT IT.

It's a cool tool, takes fewer room than a real tube amp, has a lot of features, looks pretty easy to use... But I think it doesn't quite get the tone of a real one !
I was super frustrated that you didn't add a bit of delay on the clean tests at the end :D

Any way for you to do an episode on all the different Gibson Les Pauls out there and what the damn differences are? Just crazy how many types... Which is the best bang for your buckaroo... Thanks

I wish it was more affordable! I prefer tube just because it doesn't sound as flat but it's bothering me less and less as time goes on. Good sounds man! I wish you showed the "Orange" amp though xD

Great point made about the need for solid state to have excess power, so that it never moves into a clipping stage. I noticed this as well on my hybrid amp...This amp sounds amazing, but once the master volume is above 7 it starts sounding not so good. My hybrid amp has a tube pre and solid state output. The function of the solid state output, is to simply provide clean volume to whatever sound you have created within the preamp section. A similar concept would be tube preamp output into a a solid state PA system..If you have ever done this, you know it can sound really good. The only problem you will ever run into, as with my hybrid guitar amp, or a PA, is if the power rating doesnt exceed the volume levels that you plan on playing, you will get clipping/distortion, and it aint pretty.

Excellent demo. I own the Bias Head and it's really good.  Check out the new reverb patch they released the other day.  Now the head and software has reverb built in.  Cool channel.

Sounds good but 1300 is a bit out there.

I think it sounds great... whats your signal chain? Or at least what are you doing for speakers? Normal guitar cab with sim turned off? Line out?
