Love the video, man! You probably know how chlorine in pools can affect the adhesive that holds the glass backside to the phone, right? It can also corrode the internal stuff (but this is of course from overdoing it). I jumped into a pool with the S7 edge in my pocket and it was fine, however, I had to dry that charging port rather thoroughly. Taking the water resistance with a grain of salt around pools.

My Galaxy S5 did just fine underwater too (of course after dropping it several times over the last two years it finally cracked, so I don't think it's very water proof anymore. haha). I just got the S7 Edge, and I was hoping it would be the same underwater as my S5 was. Glad to see it is!

My 1 year old s7 edge was in my bathing suit pocket in 3 feet of water for about 15 minutes.
It does not work at all now, AND SAMSUNG WILL NOT HONOR ANY CLAIM OF IT BEING WATERPROOF!

This is a big lie! I bought a Galaxy S7 Edge few months ago. I accidentally dropped it in the washing sink of few centimeters deep then picked it up immediately. Unfortunately, the mobile stop working and Samsung representative told me that Samsung company don't warranty against water leaking unlike what the company announces! So you have to be careful for what this company is announcing.

Water on any speaker will cause distortion, it is what happens after the speaker dries that's important.

Barring a defect, the Galaxy S7 Edge does pass the waterproof test.

guys please realise this phone is not meant to go underwater otherwise it would be called water proof and not water resistant, it is resistant so your $800 dollar phone does not get spoilt if you drop it into a puddle or the sink. Not meant for swimming! I would never take my expensive phone and risk hurting it, I mean whats the point, at least buy a waterproof cover.
