I had galaxy A53 with IP67 rating. I just put it in water for few seconds. Moisture got inside the camera. IP rating will only work if the phone is new. It will stop working after 2 years. So please be careful. I learned it the hard way.

A loooonng time ago, I had a Sony Z1 with IP58 rating, died after taking it for a swim. Granted it was quite old by then, so I will treat waterproof phones as waterproof when new and no more than 2 years.

As someone who broke their phone cuz I brought it swimming with a waterproof bag that leaked, I'm kinda hesitant to put my new A55 under running water... Eventhough I know it'll be fine but still.. It gives me trauma 😂

Because we'll not worry about Rainy Weather and Outdoor Jobs. i also like this Samsung A55 5G uses UFS 3.1 storage technology, but in 2024, it’s quite disappointing that it hasn’t adopted UFS 4.0 yet. все-таки это немного некорректный тест.
Телефон и без водозащиты может продолжить работать после утопления, но вода спровоцирует коррозию или окисление внутри и через время это приведёт к потере работоспособности.
Поэтому тут стоило бы после всего этот самсунг вскрыть.
Так же надо понимать, что ip - это степень защиты оболочки.
Но у телефона есть открытые входы - зарядка, входы динамиков. Значит, гнездо зарядки и модули с динамиками не является внутренним защищенным контуром и могут от воды испортиться?
В конечном счете, ip67 не гарантирует работу в условиях "под водой", она лишь гарантирует сохранение работоспособности после ограниченного воздействия воды.
А вот критерий "работоспособность" необходимо уточнить.
Чтобы владельцы самсунгов, насмотревшись на такие тесты, не стали снимать подводную ловлю и жизнь моллюсков с а55 и не жаловались, что у них звук с нижнего динамика пропал или телефон не заряжается, тк контакты окислились.
