Thank you for posting this. I just picked this up used with 21.2 software for $1, 300 used on my dealers truck. I'll just say I'm very happy I didn't buy this thing new, because you are correct it's basically just a scan tool with a multimeter.

A PRO HAS BOTH TOOLS AND FOR THE MOST PART OVER 10 YEARS OF BOTH I ALWAYS GRAB SNAP ON FIRST BUT NEED BOTH FOR SURE. ACTUALY NEED OTHERS, , LAUNCH, ECT ONE ALWAYS CAN DO SOMETING BETTER THAN THE OTHER, BUT IF I ALWAY GO TO SNAPON FIRST IT MEANS ITS THE BEST,

Fire alarm is beeping in the background with old 9v battery that you don't even care to replace and I should care about your opinion on this snap on tool? Modis Edge is a diagnostic tool it is not a tool for locksmith, it is not a programmer. You are complaining on a tool that can't do something that the manufacturer never claimed it can do.

I just picked up the Launch x431 Pro this past May and that darn thing does A LOT! Major learning curve. Getting better at it everyday.

I almost purchased a Snap On Solus Edge but I stopped as soon as I found out it didn't do keys. It lacked a lot of functions that Autel has at a quarter of the price. My Snap On guy bashed on Autel stating they got sued from Snap On and GM and Ford and said they pulled most of the software from Autel models. I'm still leaning towards Autel.

Thanks for the heads up! I'd totally like to see more reviews, especially shit like some who actually uses his tools who can say HF is "better" than snap on. Or any other alternative tools that beat the big name brands.

Excellent video. You nailed it with Snap On scanners. I have their hand tools and sockets/wrenches. These are top notch. their scanners are overpriced and Autel gets the job done. Can even do more and reads better. The OEM scanner gets anything else done as required. Snap On electric impact wrenches are a serious joke. batteries expensive, can't get a tool only and Millwaukee smashes them. Both are China made anyways. Their wireless battery tester is awesome....bought it because I am still glued to them. Keep up the good work.

Autel ultra 2023 makes you guess on so many components vs snap on just knows what vehicle is equipped with. I like both can’t complain. Snap on still easier to use.

The touch screen went bad on my AUTEL 906BT after 4 years. It's a common issue with the Autel scanner. Autel will not fix it. Also this scanner is slow and does not communicate with some domestic vehicles. Works fine for imports. The snap on scanner will be more durable.

Yeah I just got the Solus legend. I’m hoping that it’s not just an overpriced code reader. If it is it will be for sale!

Autel is nice except they die and get a black screen and no support or parts to fix.

After spending thousands with snap on my conclusion is hand tools are great ut anything that takes a battery is totally junk.
