I live in England. One of the house I cleaned had this type of insulation put in like7 years ago. Two years later they decided to sell the house and no bank would deal with the buyers mortgage wise until the insulation would be taken out and replaced with something that the bank would approve of. The seller tried to contact the company who put this thing in in the first place but they were nowhere to be found. They were already out of business.
So in like a 3 years period they paid several thousands for this insulation to be put in under the roof, then had to pay to be taken out and basically the entire roof had to be redone in order that they could legally sell their house.
Don't use this stuff people. It is a health hazard and a money pit.

The problem with spray foam insulation it hides termite activity and damage. And not to mention it hides moisture damage and water leaks.

Spray insulation is awesome....
until you decide to do some updates and try and run some type of plumbing or wiring through the walls and find out that spray insulation won't let you.

As an electrician, I hate spray foam insulation! I didn’t even know about the health effects the others are commenting, it just sucks to deal with when adding circuits and such.

I am an Electrician. One of my many electricallal job was fire restoration.
I would go in with the Fire Inspector, after a fire, and install temporary electrical service, through out the house.
One time, I was in a burnt out house. It was a new three story McMansion.
We spotted the source of the fire.
The fire was started im the bathroom ceiling. The fire was centered around the bathroom exhaust fan. Commonly called the "fart fan" in the Electrical trade.
What probably happened is that the exhaust fan was left on, while the familyf was out.
Either the fan got stuck, causing the motor to heat up, or the motor got hot from extended running time.
Normally, this will not cause a fire, because there is enough space in the joist to dissipate the heat.
But not in this case, the insulation was packed tightly around the fart fan.
This caused the heat to build up, and a fire to occur.
It was interesting to see, because the fire spread from the fart fan.
So too much insulation can cause fire, especially around electrical boxes.

What they don’t tell you is that foam offgases cancer causing fumes into your home for 30 years. I used to do this for work and that was in our training but we were instructed not to tell schools and homeowners where we were working.
I quit that job shortly after that.

Были тут у нас одни, хотели "вытеснить" минвату. Запенили потолок, а второго компонента, который служит отвердителем, ввиду его дороговизны, добавили мало и через месяц, вся эта пена, преаратилась в пыль.
