Airplane Food: Taiwan to Japan

I can’t believe they served us food! This EVA Air flight from Taiwan to Japan was only 3 hours and 20 minutes…the last time I flew 5 hours in mainland US I got a packet of pretzels lololol

Asian Airlines are on another level! So far, every Asian airline I’ve flown had a great menu. Maybe it’s just cuz I prefer Asian flavors 🤷🏻‍♀️

That wax apple is a close relative of the Jamaican Otaheite apple (also called the malay apple). Always nice to see something familiar in your videos. 😊

That wax apple is also known as a ‘rose apple’ or Jambu! It also comes in a green variety which tastes pretty much the same but is a bit smaller and stubbier in appearance.

Growing up in Hawaii, we always called those mountain apples. I remember eating them often as a child. I hardly see them anymore and now they’re usually much smaller.

It so interesting how its called wax apple, cause in indonesia, we group them together with guava, in indonesian wax apple is jambu air amd guava is jambu/jambu biji

I went on Delta once and got a chicken and asparagus with hollandaise sauce. I don't even like hollandaise sauce but it was the best food I've ever had on an airplane 😢 was shook.

Hey!! I have a little recommendation for the wax apple if you try it again, you can eat it with salt or peppers, i swear to my life it taste so freaking good ❤

Wax apple or makopa in Philippines

Fun fact: airplane food tastes different when you eat it on ground (saltier, more intense flavor). Our taste buds is affected of the high altitude and thin air during the flight 😊

Wax apple is called water apple or Jambu in India. A lot of people grow it on terrace gardens.

The wax apple looks similar to a fruit in Puerto Rico we call Pomarosa. My grandparent's had two trees of them at their house and we would eat them all the time!

The wax apple looks very similar to the Jamaican otaheite apple ! I love them! It’s way better than the regular Apple in my opinion 😊 🇯🇲

That Wax Apple is called Makopa in bisaya/tagalog it's very crisp
