The eyes of the ghost children builds the Beldam’s world of wonders as it is their imagination used to create the land, without them the world cannot exist as the reason why the outside falls apart and the Beldam would only be able to maintain the room she’s in, if Coraline accepted the button eye deal then the world would probably be extended to the well where Wybe would hold on to her eye in a similar fashion that the other father did

The whole reason as to why she goes "I'll die without you" Is because she feeds off the souls of the kids she lures in
And because the house owner (Wybie's Grandma) stopped allowing in kids after buying the house to stop her from taking them
Meaning that she has been starving for a good few years, so it makes sense as to why she sounded so begging for Coraline to stay. Because she was literally STARVING TO DEATH!
