Yuzuru Hanyu is the best figure skater 💕💕💕

I spent these two weeks talking about Yuzuru to my family members, who are not Figure skating fans, about his victories, his programs, his preserverance, the profound respect that he shows to his juniors, coaches, staff, media people and to the ice itself.
I have talked about the unprecendented support he recieved from people in China, about how people on SS rallied behind him...
I was trying to describe what is the universal appeal this beautiful man from Japan holds, that his name was trending on twitter in countries where they´ve never seen snow, let alone Figure skating.
What is it, that light that he possesses, that shines so bright that people flock to him like a moth to a flame...
I still don´t have an answer to this, but i will enjoy thinking about it in the days to come. I seriously consider Yuzuru Hanyu to be THE most fascinating person in the world right now, as crazy as it sounds.

I agree with you. The greatest skater and one of the greatest artists in the history of humanity. When you think about it it's almost too big to comprehend. As an athlete he is the GOAT of figure skating, he has suffered much and toiled and sacrificed to create himself, his 9 year old self's ideal Yuzuru Hanyu and sometimes his efforts haven't been rewarded as they should have been but he has earned the admiration of millions of people because even in his disappointment he's held himself to a very high standard of dignity and acceptance. As an artist he touches people on a visceral level. You may not even understand why you feel what you feel watching him skate but the beauty is sometimes painful and almost too much to bear. For such a private person that people know almost nothing about he puts his heart and soul on display in every performance and what he gets back is pure love regardless of any other reward. As a human he is exemplary in how he conducts his public life. I would assume that's true in his private life also because we hear absolutely nothing about his life that he hasn't shared. He has grown up and matured in the public eye with an intense fan and media focus on him everywhere he goes and has never been less than gracious, respectful and considerate of others at all times in all these years.

I agree. His art is much more valuable than any gold medal. The guy who won medal didn't impress me but when yuzuru skates....I'm His artistry makes me forget the world and just watch him!

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I am very glad to know you have already known Yuzu situation which he has been suffering unfair juggling score. Even Masako Kubota, who lives in Iwate prefecture, have been given critical scores. I felt very sad to know.

True. Yuzuru has a passion - and that's it. That's why the man has achieved so much and remained so special and beloved even though he went to Beijing but didn't medal. Who cares, he is already a 2 time OGM and a legend. He won everything there is... He's awesome ❤

Yes, Even he couldn’t get Gold Medal, he is really Gold medalist in our heart in the world. His God like skating performance takes away our heart and soul suddenly.
