ONE WAY TO LAYER IN WET WEATHER!!! ( A SOUTHERN PERSPECTIVE)

Welcome back y'all. I thought I'd share one of the few ways that I layer in cold wet weather and in mild wet weather as well. This is a perspective from a southern man, and not from somebody who has spent any vast amount of time in the north. I did live in west virginia for about a year and a half 22 years, and I had also spent six months in the winter of wyoming. Furthermore, I have gone to sea family and gone hunting in Pennsylvania a few times in my life. And so I do understand that you guys up there have much colder weather. And that's why I'm bringing out the idea that this may need to be taken with a grain of salt if you do not have good circulation. Or simply can't stay warm for whatever reason.
I hope you can get something out of this and at the end of the day. This will still keep you dry, if not warm.
Enjoy.
As always we have classes available and products as well

2:36 biggest layering mistake that American guys tend to make is starting their base-to-skin layer with 100% cotton T’s, wife beaters & briefs . Second biggest (and it ties in with the first) is working too fast/too hurriedly with too many layers on, thus soaking themselves from the inside, out. Best approach is to wear a finely woven poly T (like the 32II Cool from Costco) then layer various weaves of wool. And be willing to work comfortably cold. Wet skin conducts heat away from the body 25x faster and more efficiently than dry skin. Same goes for headwear. Wet hair is THE worst for heat loss. Our bodies are furnaces that, like a perfectly stoked wood stove, burn at a constant 98.5F. Trapping that consistent warmth while staying dry. That’s what it’s all about.
