It wasn't breast cancer that took my late wife, it was Sickle cell. But this video and song plays out extremely similar to my life experience, and how she left us so suddenly. I was put on to Eric Roberson about a year after she passed. And let me tell ya, I thought I was alright til I heard this. All of my emotions came pouring out as soon as I realized that his woman in the video was not just gone, but had passed away from a fatal illness. Our children were playing about 5 feet away from me as I was listening  to this. The moment I broke down in tears, they were immediately concerned, and held me saying "What's wrong dad? You alright?" They didn't fully understand because they were so young 3&4. The fact that our children look so much like her, made me cry even harder! But I was appreciative of the fact that she left me two beautiful healthy, smart, and loving children. I LOVE this song!! But I can never get through it without crying my eye's out. It's been years now since she's been gone. And this song still gets me, but it's a beautiful piece for sure! Mr. Roberson definitely knocked this one out of the park...

This Video gets me everytime OMG!!!!. It's nothing like seeing your love one deteriorate while their life is hanging in the balance. I remember back in 2001, my aunt died in my arms as she took her last breath. Everytime I listen to this song, I'm literally in tears and reliving the event, Eric coveys every emotion I couldn't begin to express. I'm forever a fan of his music

You put my feelings into words about how I feel about my mother. Toni was beautiful inside and out and I miss her so much STILL! It's been 16 years since colo-rectal cancer stole her but GOD rescued her. My heart still 💔 aches for her.

I've never been affected by a video like this one. I just lost my wife in April of this year from Breast Cancer, and this video is like looking into my own life. My wife was a professional recording artist, as I am. We were A Couple that rocked stages all over the world together, and to lose her was the worst thing ever... Salute to the directors of this video... Tear Up every time I watch it...

I can't watch this video without crying. I'm a 31 year old black man, married, two kids... I have a wife, a sister, female cousins and friends, a mother... how can you NOT appreciate the message in this song and its video? It affects all of us, every day. It doesn't make you less of a man to feel affected by this, it makes you MORE of one to admit it.

a year later and kinda make it through this whole song without crying..I played for a friend that passed away last year not knowing she had cancer...remember how she reacted when I played it not knowing a month later she would be gone....this song shows just how precious life is..to this day I visits her grave..

Heard the song waaay before seeing the video. I thought initially it was referring to that someone who made that impact for a season, then you both moved on. After seeing the video, I wept for a long time. Because the mother of my children and wife of 18 years became totally free of the physical in 2000. And I miss her Still.
