Android 16 TERMINAL RUNNING DOCKER, OLLAMA & CASAOS 🤯😳

In the last video I talked about the official android 16 terminal that lets you run Debian linux VM. In this video, we are going to test running Docker Ollama and setting up simple cloud OS using CasaOS which allows you to run services like JELLY FIN, Plex media and much more.

Android 16 is a massive update that brings built in support for running linux distributions. This official terminal application from google for android boots up Debian in a VM and provides essential system Admin features like managing services with SystemCTL, Disk Resizing, Port Forwarding and Recovery.

Thanks to the Android virtualization framework also know as pKVM. The hypervisor maintains the integrity of the executed code and confidentiality of the pVM assets even if the host android or other pVMs are compromised.

Currently the android 16 terminal is available only for pixel devices and You need to be running the latest android 16 developer preview.

I got it working you have to go to development mode put that seven times be a developer and then in settings you can enable Linux under development I think it is I looked up another YouTube video and it showed it

If I do a ip a it shows 192.168.0.2/24 but that's not my LAN how can I get it to get a IP so I can ssh to it. I did do a apt install ssh and that worked.

When I resize the partition to anything larger than the default size, it gets stuck on "reconnecting". Has anyone experienced this? I am on the March update Android 15 stable channel.

How can you ssh to it? It gets a ip like 192.168.0.2 not on my LAN.

I did test a virtual ethernet address but it didn't work.
There must be some easier way to ssh to this.

I plug in a USB to Ethernet and a ip a don't see it. It must be locked out. How can I get to ssh to it on my LAN?

Hi, I write a simple python script trying to access localhost:10808 or 0.0.0.0:10808, but it raise Connection refused without popping up a notification window to allow me to agree 10808 port.

Do you have any suggestions on this? My actually needs is forward all traffic within debian os to outside android os's local server's 10808 port.

I think u might want 2 port forwarding 2 the vm, which running casa os and port to access its' ui from other devices within same network.If didn't work, u should port mapping in ur router too 2 the ur android phone.U can try this method & if it works plz inform me😊😊

I install tailscale and now I can ssh to it's 100 address. I installed it on the command line.

Can you access the Android host filesystem like in Termux? Would be useful to bind mount host folders to expand the 16GB limit
