AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G Review: Never Released at Retail, Benchmarks Show Why!

Shrouded in mystery, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G from AMD is potentially the best all-around 8-core CPU on the market, thanks to its integrated Vega 8 graphics. But is there a reason AMD never released this at retail? I'll tell you!

While you can't buy the 4750G at retail, you can buy the other gear shown in my review, all of which I highly recommend!

Note: I used G.Skill SniperX DDR4-3400 CL16 RAM in my testing, as it's the fastest RAM that works with the Ryzen 5 3400G used in the benchmark comparison, but 3600 CL16 works great on both the 3700X and 4750G.

This is frustrating.
I would like an 8 core 16 thread Ryzen APU for my next audio workstation.
For such a build there is no point buying a GPU. It's a waste of cash and a PCI express slot for that kind of build.
But Intel's similar offerings with iGPUs are completely out of the running for value and performance.

10:17 This point alone made the entire review worth watching. Thank you for the thorough testing and insight on these APUs. Subbed.

Interesting, we see that some games like cache more, and some like lower latencies more

April 2021, just under $400 to order from Korea. Just over $300 from Russia, before shipping.

I wanted to sell my 3700X to get the 4750G for a portable SFF build in which I was attempting to keep weight, heat, and power consumption down. Instead, I paired a Quadro NVS 295 with the 3700X and was planning on waiting a year or more for either GPUs or the 4750G to come down in price. Now that I've seen your video, I'm just going to stick with what I have.

Another great episode from TTBG 🥰👍 I personally would love to see a variant of the AMD Ryzen APU with a 16cu and slightly overclocked GPU clock. I know this would eliminate the RX550 GPU but to get a basic 720/1080p SFF mini itx setup, able to play a large variety of gaming titles would be something great to see and use.

Thanks for the detailed review. You look like an 80s-90s comedian. A little Seinfeld-esque.

Finally! I've been looking for a comparison between 3700x and 4750G for a while now. In my local market the cost for 4750G is lower by $15 - $35, and since the benchmarks ain't that big of a difference, getting the 4750G is a good deal.

I bought 1 of these recently for my wife. She needed a new computer for her home office and she doesn't game. Looks like you were 100% correct in my situation. I wanted something semi high end for her so she doesn't need to worry about a replacement for the next 5 years. Longer hopefully.

These are for OEM office computers. 8-cores to get work done. But could do some light gaming. Great hands on review 👍

I bought a Ryzen 7 4750g (From OEM in Korea) with a stealth cooler, 16 gb of Samsung 3200 ram, a gigabyte B550m DS3H motherboard, a 500 watt Great Wall PSU, and a 256 gb HP m2. 2280 NVMe. Hansung Computers, from Korea btw, also threw in a case with a strip of LED's down the front with different colors. I am in Korea, so I paid 750 000 won. That is the equivalent of $659 including tax. I must say I am not a gamer, but the machine is quick, really quick. Also, silent as a whisper. I didn't buy it for gaming, but for work, like streaming 1080p videos to 20 students with no lag whatsoever or any missed frames or audio problems or having 10 or 20 web pages and applications open at the ready. Man! It just blows through it. Also, watching two 2160p streams from Youtube and it doesn't miss a beat. Haven't tried it with a third monitor, I would expect it not to be a problem. Met my expectations and more, and as Nickelback's Chad Kroeger said. "If they tell you anything different, they are a fuckin liar." Anyone who is not an out-an-out gamer, but only casual, I am sure they will love this chip. Esports enthusiasts should also find this great.

I was wondering why AMD did skip the 4000 series, I thought it was because the pandemic and all that stuff so they moved the 4000 series to the 5000 series but after seeing this I can admire more AMD than yesterday, this kind of products where the ones that almost kill Intel and the computer industry and I can't be more than happy to see AMD doing the right things, although I kinda want to see an OEM with an 4000 series.

Xbox Series X has an identical CPU to 4750g, but with lowered clocks... Xbox Series X CPU has only 8mb l3 cache and it separated in 4mb l3 cache for each 4 cores ccx

Just bought an office system featuring the R7 PRO 4750G with a GTX1650, looks like a good buy looking at your video, thanks!
