Garth describes the evolution of SQL Azure to Windows Azure SQL Database and what that journey entailed.

One of the driving reasons behind the emphasis on moving to the cloud is due to hardware savings. Microsoft takes care of all of the hardware issues, upgrades, and maintenance you’d otherwise have to deal with in an on-prem data center. By the end of the video, you’ll be familiar with Azure’s various services and how they relate to SQL.
