Featherstone UL Obsidian 1p Tent

If you are looking for a light weight tent for backpacking than check out the Featherstone UL Obsidian 1 person tent. This tent has a pack weight of 3 pounds 12oz. Plenty of head room for sitting up. There is a single pole with hub system to allow for multiple pole directions. The sleeping space is a little short for anyone over 6 feet tall.

This is the tent I used on my Southbound AT hike in 2022. I was out for 90 days making it from Mt Katahdin in Maine to Pine Grove Furnace, Pennsylvania. I plan on finishing the second half of the AT in April 2023. I'll go out with the same tent, it held up well in wind and rain. I will probably make a modification and add a zippered access on the opposite side of the door. I hardly ever made use of the second vestibule since there was no internal access. I picked it up on Amazon last year for $105 and give it a 5 star rating for value and durability.

Thank you for this outstanding review.However it’s a pity that they don’t sell the tent in a olive color.I like to hike in the woods and the bright colors distract in nature surroundings.😉

Not a man sized tent as sleeping bag would touch both foot and head, soaking up any condensation. Also, not being able to setup with rain fly already attached is a deal killer for any tent.
