I will tell about a hidden assumption in the proof of Bell's theorem. The resulting loophole can be, in principle, fatal for proofs of security in quantum cryptography.

Marek Czachor is a full professor of theoretical physics at Gdańsk University of Technology in Poland. His research interests involve foundations of quantum mechanics and theory of relativity, including relativistic quantum information, nonlinear quantum mechanics, and interdisciplinary applications of formally quantum structures.

In 2014, he independently discovered non-Newtonian calculus, generalizing the earlier formalisms of Grossman and Katz, and Pap, and applying it to problems of fractal analysis, dark energy (cosmology), and Bell’s theorem (quantum mechanics).

Professor Czachor was an influential and heroic participant in the Solidarity movement, the struggle for democracy in Poland during the 1980s. The Polish government presented him with an Order of the Rebirth of Poland award in 2007, and a Cross of Freedom and Solidarity award in 2015.
