one more comment..my sister did have a dangerous colon polyp removed at age 46. it was a " stalk" type with cancer in it which had not yet metastasized..( she had seen blood in her stool) so was immediately checked. Her family physician follow up commented to her " You don't know how lucky you are!" So I agree with you on your commentary here, any " signs" of colon problems need immediate follow up..and I'm certain you would agree to that. Thx..love your channel!!

My experience with my family doctor and the Colorgaurd test was good. The test is covered by my insurance. It was simple to use. How is is it inferior to the FIT test?

My doctor is supportive of my not doing a colonoscopy.

Why have a test (screening) if you're not having problems? It was recommended that I have a colonoscopy after decades of laxative abuse with an eating disorder. I had that colonoscopy at the age of 55 and will never have another - the anesthetics made me so sick! The test showed a clean plumbing system. I met with the doctor before the colonoscopy and he recommended I take MiraLax every day. His reasoning was that his cancer patients took MiraLax without problems or complications for not having regular bowel movements! Why don't more people make a detailed review of one's nutritional habits before performing a test/screening?

Dear Pam, I listend to your amazing speech about common GI Disorders at The Real Truth About Health conference. Now here's my question: Whats up with the whole parasite infection storys one hears these days. Apparently a lot of people are supposed to be infected, and the Symptoms often seem to bee very similar with the ones one experience with other GI Disorders. Like bloating, anxiety in the night, sleepingprobles, skin issues, Malabsorbtion causing weight problems etc... I would love to hear your opinion on this topic because it seems, at least to me, that You are one of the most reliable health professional out there at the moment, especially when it comes to the GI field of medicine.

You say that there are specific probiotics that are good for specific conditions and you can only know by working with someone who knows what they're doing, what if I am unable to find anyone in my area like that?
